Jim Thibodeau - President
With over 20 years of business experience including management of such businesses as REI, Jim brought with him a complete understanding of the needs facing small businesses today when he founded StaffScapes in 1996.
Jim oversees the daily operations, sales and marketing, Workers’ Compensation and Administration and Risk Management for the company. He has been certified in Risk Management and Occupational Safety Administration and is available to assess potential issues at client locations.
When not working, Jim is an avid outdoorsman. He serves on the board of the Colorado Walleye Association and is a former noted and accomplished rock climber. In addition, Jim enjoys spending time with his family enjoying such activities as boating, fishing, hiking, riding and exploring.
Jake Stratton - Controller/CFO
A 1995 graduate of the University of Florida - Fischer School of Accounting, Jake began his PEO career shortly after graduation helping to establish and direct a Florida PEO as Controller and Vice President. After moving to Colorado, Jake was recruited to join StaffScapes in 2000 and currently oversees fiscal management, payroll, taxes, wage garnishments, and Human Resource compliance. In 2003, Jake earned his Colorado Property & Casualty license which provided an additional resource to the StaffScapes clients.
In his spare time, Jake is active with his family enjoying participating in his kids’ activities such as Boy Scouts and softball. He enjoys camping, sports and holds leadership positions within his church.
Lora Manternach - Human Resources Director
Lora joined the StaffScapes team in December, 2003 and has since developed and expanded many of the programs and procedures we offer to our clients today. Her primary responsibilities include Benefits Consultation and Administration, Employee Enrollment, Client Service and 401 (k) Retirement Plan Administration. A 1998 graduate of Northern Illinois University, Lora holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources and is a member of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and the DCPA (Denver Chapter Payroll Association).
Lora has obtained both the PHR and CPP Certifications and is a licensed Health and Life provider. She has administered HR needs for companies employing over 250 people as well as small businesses prior to joining StaffScapes. She currently volunteers for the DCPA Community Outreach committee, served as the Marketing Chair for the 2009 SHRM Colorado State Conference and recently managed a School Supply Drive and Race for the Cure. When not working, Lora enjoys spending time with her family, boating, playing volleyball, traveling and activities with her two children.
