Professional Walleye Trail- PWT

As Customers, Vendors or Friends of StaffScapes many of you know that I enjoy a day out on the water fishing. It really does not matter what type of fishing I do I just enjoy being out with family and friends.

My favorite fish to fish for is the Walleye. This spring I am fishing a co-angler on the Professional Walleye Trail in Chamberlain South Dakota. The PWT runs a series of tournaments with the best Walleye Pros in the nation. It should be a great time fishing and a great opportunity to fish with some great fisherman.   Below is what Keith Kavajecz a long time pro from the thenextbite.com web site had to say.

"In a nutshell, if you get in as an AM, you will be fishing for 3 days (weather permitting - at Chamberlain shouldn’t be a factor). Each of the 3 days you will draw a different pro. The pro is responsible for making all the decisions and bringing all the gear/bait. The nice thing about our tournaments is that they are "boat weight". That means any fish caught in the boat (pro or am) goes towards the boat’s weight. The am’s will be weighing against the am’s, the pro’s against the pro’s. The advantage of boat weight is that the pro’s really want the am’s to catch a lot of fish - they count towards the pro’s weight. So the two of you will be fishing partners - and hopefully buddies - for the day (although many friendships last much longer).

I think if you go into a PWT pro am with the goal of learning how to fish - you can’t go wrong. "
